Brownies Earn your “Inventor” badge by solving problems on the farm. Use our box of simple machines to create inventions for use on the farm!


MY FAMILY STORY

Brownies Earn your “My Family Story” badge by creating a family tree and sharing your story. Learn about family stories from Loudoun County’s history as well, how does your family compare to the families represented in our gallery?


PLAYING THE PAST

Junior Girl Scouts Earn your “Playing the Past” badge by becoming a character from our gallery. Learn about your daily life and become your character in dress-up clothes that we provide.


GARDENER

Junior Girl Scouts Experiment with gardens and explore our community garden here at the Heritage Farm Museum. Create your own garden to take home!

The Heritage Farm Museum is pleased to offer classes, programs, and guided tours for your scouts. Our exhibits support the achievements for Daisys, Brownies, Girls Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Boy Scouts. All classes are $5.00 per student and $1.00 per chaperone and last approximately 1 hour. The Museum also offers scouts opportunities to work on Gold Awards and Eagle Scout projects. Junior Girl Scouts Learn about saving money and how to plan your budget to get what you need and what you want. MAKING 

MY FAMILY SPECIAL 
Tiger Cubs Earn your Making My Family Special achievement and learn about chores on the farm and how they compare to the chores we do today. Make a family scrapbook to take home!

WHAT MAKES AMERICA SPECIAL 
Bear Cubs Learn what it means to be a good citizen. Discover some of the good citizens we have represented in the Museum gallery. 

GIRL SCOUT GOLD AWARD 
Complete your Gold Award project with the guidance of Museum staff. Create an event, exhibit, or special project created by you in conjunction with a staff member. All projects must be approved by Heritage Farm Museum staff.

EAGLE SCOUT PROJECT
Work with the Museum staff to create a lasting project at the Heritage Farm Museum. Past projects have included: building benches, building tables, and creating rotating exhibits.
